I’m continuing to re-read Virginia Woolf. All I can say is To the Lighthouse has the most shocking parenthetical phrase of any book I’ve ever read.
Have you read the novel – and if so, do you know the phrase I mean?

(I’ve read To the Lighthouse a few times and recall there are very many parenthesis. Doesn’t she kill someone off in a parenthetical aside? Can you give us a hint?)
